18th Century Louis XV Studded Leather Cutlery Box
This astounding 18th Century Louis XV studded leather cutlery box is a magnificent example of French craftsmanship from the period with a working latch and original marbled paper lining the interior and underside of the box. The entire box is studded with bronze nails in various geometric patterns including a starburst design on the back and the letter M stamped on the top of the box. The condition of this piece, despite its age, is a true testament to its quality and craftsmanship that has stood the test of time.
