A glorious 18th century English dessert or sweetmeats glass of great form with a domed foot, moulded stem pedestal, and a rib-moulded bowl. Made in England, 1740-60.
An identical glass is part of the Victoria and Albert Museum collection (inv. no.C.153-1925) and is illustrated by W A Thorpe in his, A History of English and Irish Glass (1929), p.LXXVII, no.1.
Condition: Good, old repair to one of the glass loops on the top of the glass
